About Shauna
Hi! I’m a qualified primary school teacher from Ireland, currently living in Melbourne, Australia. I am passionate about helping children learn, grow in confidence and develop a genuine enjoyment of learning.
I have experience working with primary-aged children and supporting them across a range of abilities and learning needs. I am friendly, patient and approachable, and I always aim to create a positive environment where children feel comfortable and encouraged.
I particularly enjoy teaching English, reading, phonics, writing and math, and I love making lessons fun and engaging through activities that are suited to each individual child.
I understand that children learn in different ways, so I take the time to get to know each student and adapt my lessons to their interests, strengths and areas for development.

My lessons are fun, engaging and tailored to each child’s individual needs, abilities and learning style. As a qualified primary school teacher, I have experience supporting children across a range of ages and abilities and understand that every child learns differently.
I can provide support with English, reading, phonics, spelling, writing, maths and homework, as well as helping children build their confidence and enjoyment of learning.
Lessons are relaxed and interactive, with a mixture of activities, games and guided learning to keep children engaged. I aim to create a positive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their skills at their own pace.
Before starting, I am happy to discuss your child’s current level, areas they would like support with and any specific goals you have for them. I will then tailor each lesson to help them make progress and feel more confident in their learning.
Lessons are available online, making them convenient for families wherever they are located.
