About Holly
Hello! I’m Holly, a qualified education graduate with a BA (Hons) in Education from the Open University. I have several years of experience working in early years and primary settings, including with children who have additional support needs. I’m passionate about creating positive, confidence-building learning experiences where children feel supported and capable. I understand that every child learns differently, and I pride myself on being patient, adaptable, and creative in my teaching approach. Before moving into education, I worked in HR and support roles — so I bring a well-rounded understanding of communication, empathy, and professionalism. I’m currently based just outside Glasgow and offer online lessons that are tailored to each pupil’s pace and interests. When I’m not tutoring, you’ll usually find me walking my dog, exploring nature, or creating resources to make learning more fun and engaging!

As a qualified primary education graduate with hands-on experience supporting children in nursery and school settings, I offer engaging and supportive online tutoring tailored to each child's individual needs. I specialise in literacy, numeracy, and building confidence, especially for children who may have additional support needs (ASN), learning anxieties, or benefit from a more nurturing learning style. I design lessons using the Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) and break down concepts into manageable, age-appropriate steps. My sessions are interactive, encouraging, and always adapted to suit the pace and personality of the learner. Whether your child needs help with phonics, spelling, creative writing, number skills or general homework support, I provide a calm and patient space to grow and achieve. I also share optional practice tasks or resources for between lessons to help reinforce learning. I currently tutor online via Zoom or Google Meet, and I’m happy to offer a free initial consultation to chat about your child’s needs and how I can support them best.
