About Andrea
I am a qualified piano teacher with an Associate Pianoforte Teaching Diploma (AVCM), awarded with Honors, and previous professional experience teaching piano to children and young people. I have studied piano to Grade 8 level and am Garda vetted.
Alongside my musical background, I hold a First Class Honors Master’s degree in Psychology and a BA in Psychological Studies. I am also a qualified Special Needs Assistant, achieving a Distinction, with practical experience supporting students in Junior and Senior ASD classes, learning support and mainstream settings.
My combined background in music, psychology and additional-needs support allows me to bring a patient, encouraging and adaptable approach to teaching. I welcome children of all abilities, including children with additional needs who may benefit from lessons being adapted to their individual learning style.

I offer friendly, personalized piano lessons tailored to each child’s ability, interests and individual learning style. My aim is to make learning piano enjoyable while building confidence, musical skills and independence at a pace that suits each student.
Alongside being a qualified piano teacher, I hold a First Class Honors Master’s degree in Psychology and a QQI Level 5 qualification in Special Needs Assisting (Distinction). I also have experience supporting young people, including students in ASD and additional-needs settings. This background helps me adapt my teaching approach for children who may benefit from additional structure, patience or an individualized learning style.
Lessons are suitable for beginners and developing pianists, including children with additional needs. I can provide lessons in the student’s own home around Skerries and surrounding areas, as well as online lessons where suitable.
