About Diyaa
I’m a qualified NSW secondary teacher with a genuine passion for helping young people feel confident and capable in their learning.
Working in a secondary school has given me first-hand experience supporting students with a wide range of abilities, learning styles and confidence levels. I understand that sometimes a student doesn’t need more work - they need someone to explain it differently, break it down and give them the confidence to have a go.
I pride myself on being patient, approachable and encouraging while still maintaining high expectations for my students. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, while also challenging themselves to continually improve.
As a qualified teacher, I bring professional classroom experience, curriculum knowledge and an understanding of assessment expectations to my tutoring. I particularly enjoy helping students develop their writing, analytical and critical-thinking skills across English and HSIE.
Whether a student is struggling with a subject, preparing for an assessment or simply wanting to improve their results, my goal is to provide a supportive space where they can build both their skills and their confidence.
I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student has the ability to make meaningful progress – and I love being part of that process!

Hi, I’m Diyaa! I’m a qualified NSW secondary teacher with experience teaching students across Years 7–12. I offer personalized tutoring in English and HSIE, with a focus on building confidence, strengthening key skills and helping students achieve their academic goals.
My approach to tutoring is supportive, structured and tailored to each student. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit their individual ability, learning style and areas for improvement. Rather than simply giving students answers, I break down difficult concepts into manageable steps and teach them strategies they can confidently apply on their own.
For English, I can support students with essay writing, paragraph structure, textual analysis, comprehension, creative writing, vocabulary and responding effectively to assessment questions. For HSIE, I can assist with subject knowledge, source analysis, extended responses, essay structure, research skills and assessment preparation.
As a secondary teacher, I have experience designing lessons, differentiating activities for a range of abilities, providing detailed feedback and helping students understand exactly what is required to improve their work. I also understand the demands of school assessments and the importance of teaching students how to interpret questions and respond to marking criteria.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are suitable for secondary students in Years 7–12. Sessions can focus on ongoing skill development, current schoolwork, upcoming assessments or areas where a student needs additional support.
Most importantly, I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and improving at their own pace. My goal is for students to leave each lesson not only understanding the content better, but feeling more capable and confident in themselves
