About Laura
I received my PGCE in 2020 and have taught in schools ever since, delivering a wide range of subjects to primary, secondary and sixth form, with a proven track record for success. I am passionate about teaching, particularly working closely with individuals to ensure they meet their goals, and have seen many students reach grade 9 at GCSE or A at A level. My teaching style is firm but fair; I set high expectations to help you make progress, but in a relaxed, fun lesson environment, tailor made to suit your needs. I am a professional singer with over 20 years experience with highlights including recording work with Danny Elfman, concerts in the Royal Albert Hall and Liverpool M&S Bank Arena and regular radio appearances on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM.

I use a person centred approach to my teaching, with regular assessment and target setting to ensure you are meeting your goals, with visible, achievable outcomes. Lessons of one hour, tailored to your individual needs. Revision of prior learning is then coupled with exercises to target your specific learning goals, with regular feedback and assessment to help you improve. I have taught Music in a variety of schools to KS3, GCSE and BTEC specifications, with proven track record of excellent results.
