About Madi
I am first and foremost a passionate musician, performer and composer with a variety of experience in all three fields.
I've been playing piano and singing for as long as I can remember, and a large portion of that time, I've been teaching as well. I'm a huge advocate for music education as it leads to such valuable growth and offers a skill and hobby for life.
I've been teaching piano and singing for over 10 years now and I love to inspire the same passion in all of my students. It's a true joy to see my students' growth and enjoyment of music.
I've gone through the AMEB exam process myself, having completed 8th grade piano, 7th grade classical voice, and 6th grade music theory.
But I've also been involved in a range of community theatre productions and have worked as a member of the production team on a number of shows. My highlight was writing, composing and directing "Found" with Whimsical productions in 2018 in Sydney.
Having moved down to Melbourne, I am now part of a cabaret duo "Fiat and Fiora" where we will be debut-ing our new show in early 2022.
I bring my wealth of performance experience and depth of knowledge to all of my lessons and hope to share this love of music with all my students.

My ethos:
Being a passionate performer and teacher, I am a strong advocate for music education. Every person is different - so I bring this passion for music to deliver tailored and personalised lessons to suit your goals and interests.
My methodologies:
I am a warm teacher and believe in structured exploration. My lessons usually begin with a technical warm-up, followed by an introduction of new material/new sections, then a revision of what we've already learned in past weeks and finally (if preferred) some time to work on music that inspires the student.
Everyone is different, so I adapt my lessons to suit your needs.
My qualifications and experience:
I began learning piano when I was 6 and have completed 8th grade piano, 7th grade singing and 6th grade theory of music, as well as a Bachelor degree in Education and Music at Macquarie University.
I started teaching piano and singing locally at 15. In 2012, I registered my own music school - Tutti School of Music in Sydney while also studying my Bachelor of Education and music at Macquarie University. During this time, I taught over 40 students of various age ranges and goals and I helped many to complete AMEB classical piano exams up to 8th grade successfully.
Once I graduated, I continued teaching piano and singing as the lead instructor for Tutti School of Music, while also working as a music specialist primary school teacher in Western Sydney.
In between studying and working, I was also involved in many community musicals as a performer culminating in writing, composing and directing "Found: The musical" with Whimsical Productions, which went onstage in February 2018.
Now having moved to Melbourne, I continue to write and perform and am currently part of a cabaret duo "Fiat and Fiora".
Who are my lessons for?
I have much experience teaching students of all ages, however, I specialise in teaching beginner and intermediate students at primary and high school age groups.
I offer the following lesson types:
- Piano
- Singing
- Music theory
I am not currently offering lessons as part of the AMEB syllabus, but am happy to consider this if it is a particular goal.
Thanks for reading my profile - I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Madi is an experienced Piano teacher. She has a strong work ethic, good attention to details and great at sharing her knowledge in an easily digestible way. Madi also is a professional vocalist and composer. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a piano teacher at the moment.
Madi did not only finish her Bachelor Degree in Music & Education but also has immense experience in both teaching and performing. Additionally, she's one of the most thoughtful and kindest person I've ever met.
Leaving your kids to study with Madi is gonna be one of the few right choices you would make as parents.I've worked with Madi in the musical education sphere and have found her to be a skilled teacher who really cares for her students and their learning. She is driven to see her students succeed and tends to help them achieve very high results, but she also inspires a real love for music in them as she is so passionate about the industry herself. Madi will see your child achieve excellence in music and gain a long-term sense of fulfillment and enjoyment in their craft.
Madi is an classically trained singer and pianist and has a wide range in pop, cabaret and musical theatre so her expertise is wide! Not only that but she is a qualified primary educator and has experience teaching both children, teens and adults! She is a friendly and bubbly person who definitely puts you at ease when in her presence but also knows how to challenge and extend you to achieve your best. All of these above reasons are why Madi is an exceptional teacher and I would highly recommend her to all ages and skill levels.
