About Cyril Banele
Hello! I’m Cyril, a passionate and dedicated music educator, vocal coach, pianist and choir director with a Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree and over 5 years of teaching experience.
My teaching combines professional musical training with a warm, encouraging and student-centred approach. I believe that every student has a unique voice and learning journey, so I tailor my lessons to their individual goals, abilities and interests.
Whether you are completely new to singing or piano, looking to strengthen your technique, preparing for a performance or examination, or simply wanting to become more confident as a musician, I provide structured lessons in a supportive environment. My experience includes working with children, teenagers and young adults in both private and institutional settings.
As a vocal coach, I focus on developing healthy technique, breathing, pitch, vocal control, musicality and performance confidence. My piano teaching incorporates technique, music reading, theory, repertoire and practical musicianship.
I look forward to helping you discover your musical potential, build confidence and enjoy the process of becoming a better musician.

I am a passionate and supportive music educator, vocal coach, pianist and choir director with a Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree and over 5 years of teaching experience. My approach combines structured technical training with creativity, encouragement and practical performance skills.
My vocal lessons focus on three key areas: breathing, pitch and technique. Students develop vocal control, projection, tone, musicality and confidence while learning how to use their voice safely and effectively. Piano lessons incorporate technique, music theory, reading, rhythm, repertoire and practical musicianship. I also offer music theory, aural training, songwriting and performance coaching where appropriate.
I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s goals, experience and learning style. A typical lesson may include a warm-up, technical exercises, focused instruction, repertoire work and practical feedback. I aim to create a relaxed but focused environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing at their own pace.
My lessons are suitable for beginners through to advanced students, including children, teenagers and adults. Whether you are learning for personal enjoyment, preparing for an examination or performance, developing your singing or piano skills, or building confidence as a musician, lessons are adapted to meet your needs.
I am able to teach in English and isiZulu, with conversational proficiency in Sesotho. My goal is not only to teach students how to sing or play an instrument, but to help them become confident, independent and well-rounded musicians.
