Qualified maths teacher PGCE - Degree in Mathematics - Maths tutor with Ryan

Mr Garvey helped me get a grade 9 last year when my target was a 7. I liked his explanations and he was patient when I didn't get something straight away. I felt really confident leading up to my exams and was able to try the hardest questions at the end.

Ryan completed his school direct training at Parmiter's during the period April 2017 – May 2018. I was his Head of Department during that time.

Whilst at Parmiter's he had experience of teaching groups ranging from Year 7 to Year 10. As a trainee Ryan had many characteristics that, with further experience and support, will help him develop into a successful teacher.

Ryan was always good at managing behaviour, which is not something all trainees find easy. He had a calm manner and in turn his students behave calmly
and respectfully. He has a passion for enriching the subject and a real love of problem solving.
