About Nathan
I'm a qualified Mathematics teacher (QTS) with a BSc in Mathematics and over 10 years of classroom experience across international schools in the UK, Canada, and Thailand. I've taught IB Diploma, A-Level, IGCSE, and AP Calculus to students aged 11 to 18, including several years as the sole Math teacher at my school, responsible for the whole curriculum from KS3 through to A-Level.
Beyond the classroom, I've coached Math Olympiad teams for 7 years and have particular experience supporting EAL students, so I'm used to explaining concepts clearly no matter someone's starting point or first language.
I take teaching seriously and put real preparation into every lesson, but I also believe math should feel achievable rather than intimidating. My goal is for you to leave each session a little more confident than when you started.

My approach focuses on genuine understanding, not memorized steps. I break topics down to their underlying logic first, then build exam technique once that foundation is solid. With over a decade teaching IB, A-Level and IGCSE, I know exactly where students tend to lose marks and how to close those gaps quickly.
Lessons start with a quick check of where you're at, followed by targeted teaching on the specific topic, then guided practice with past-paper style questions. You'll leave each session having actually applied what we covered, not just watched it explained.
What sets me apart is real classroom experience across three countries, a Mathematics degree, and 7 years coaching Math Olympiad teams. That means I can stretch top students just as well as I can rebuild confidence in those who've struggled.
I teach IB Math AA/AI (SL/HL), A-Level Math, and IGCSE/GCSE Math, including Additional Math. All levels welcome, from foundational gaps to top grades.
