I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and have just finished the first semester of my Master of Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne.
I have over 7 years of tutoring experience working with undergraduate students and VCE English Language. I enjoy getting to know my students and seeing them develop their skills over time.

ABOUT ME
I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics with First Class Honours and 7 years of tutoring experience. I currently teach English and academic writing skills to undergraduates at the University of Melbourne.
APPROACH
I take great joy in teaching and take a student-centred approach, drawing on a large library of resources and exercises. I encourage critical thinking and clarity and conciseness in writing. I use Google Docs to track progress and collaborate with my students.
TYPICAL LESSON
A typical lesson is 45-60 minutes and might involve:
- Going over a linguistic concept e.g. international phonetic alphabet and completing exercises to consolidate
- Going over essay structure and making a detailed plan for an essay topic
- Providing detailed feedback on your essay or analytical commentary to help you improve your writing and critical thinking
- Working through short answer questions together
AVAILABILITY
Mon + Thurs: late afternoon (4pm - 5pm)
Tues + Wed: late afternoon / evening (4pm – 8pm)
Sunday: daytime (10am-4pm)
