About Elena
I am a qualified and experienced languages teacher with more than 3 years of experience teaching in various schools and even on a cruise ship! I have a Master's degree in Developmental Linguistics, a course that focused on language acquisition from a psychological perspective. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Linguistic and Intercultural Mediation, where I learnt to tackle the sources of linguistic and intercultural conflict. I also obtained the DITALS certificate to teach Italian as a Second Language. I have worked in international environments such as the FAO of the UN and travelled all around the world!

I combine theoretical knowledge on language acquisition with creative and innovative techniques inspired by my previous work as a communicator and designer, and a naturally joyful and inspiring approach to teaching. I bring materials and exercises to the classes and each lesson is planned and prepared with care, so my courses can suit even beginners. There's a lot of playing involved, as well as effective learning in each class.

Elena is a kind, patient and relaxed person to work with. She is a talented and imaginative artist with experience in a number of different medias and styles - I have no doubt that whatever you hope to achieve from a drawing class, Elena will go above and beyond to help you achieve it (and you'll have plenty of fun with her along the way)!
I highly recommend Elena as a tutor. She's an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced professional who really knows how to help her students improve their drawing skills and progress towards their creative goals. She is also a kind and wonderful human being and I'm sure you will be very pleased with your decision to take classes with her!
Elena is a great person to work with and a very patient and motivated mentor. She is so supportive and clear when it comes to sharing her skills!
Elena has been teaching Italian with Edinburgh Italian Classes for the last three years. I always received great feedback from the students who find her really patient, engaging and fun. Seal of excellence.
