About Kate
I am a qualified, fun, friendly, flexible and experienced French, German and Spanish Teacher. I have taught GCSE French and German and A Level French in Schools and tutored French and German to A Level and Spanish to GCSE Level. I am CRB Checked and subscribe to the CRB Annual update service. My students have responed well, been positive and gained goof results, many gaining an A*. I have also taught French to adults for at least 5 years for holiday, leisure purposes. I am enthusiastic and have a passion for my subject, the French culture Food and travel!

I am happy to teach French from ages 3 - 99! - Covering beginners, KS2/3, GCSE and A Level. In German and Spanish I can teach from beginners to GCSE.
I have taught in 3 Secondary Schools and in over 15 Primary Schools as well as tutoring at KS2, 3, 4 and 5; covering KS2/3, GCSE and A Level, plus adults.
I tailor my lessons to the needs and situation of each client. Lessons will typically cover some or all of the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing - but will also involve the understanding of grammar, as this provides the 'hook' on which to hang words. I will look at phonics to aid pronunciation and various techniques to aid memorisation. I like to teach using songs, as music helps to commit learning to the long term memory, as well as being fun.
