About Lucy
I am a qualified English teacher (PGCE) who has experience working with gifted and talented students and those with special needs such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, Down's syndrome and autism. I have worked with students aged from 5 to 18 and am very happy to individualise lesson plans or to help improve confidence with schoolwork.

I aim to inspire a love of English in my students - I have a lot of experience and wide-ranging knowledge of literature. If you have a reluctant reader, I can help guide them towards books they'll love - and if your child has already devoured every book in sight I'll be able to recommend the next big thing. I am patient and kind, and very happy to work with my students to achieve their goals. I'm great at motivating my students, whether that involves working towards entrance exams or GCSEs, or simply improving confidence in class and with homework.
