About Karen
I have been a teacher for more than 25 years, a head of department and an external Examiner for Economics with the AQA board. I did have a break for a time and became an employment lawyer, but teaching is my vocation and the role that I have always loved and in which I have excelled.
I have taught thousands of students over the years and many are still in touch with me telling me of their current careers and successes that started out in my Economics A level class.
I have recently retired from my role as a teacher in an "Outstanding" sixth form college in the North West of the UK and therefore have some extra availability to take on new students

My lessons concentrate on in-depth understanding of the basics of the subject, good exam technique and awareness of current economic affairs. This systematic approach to lessons has a proven track record of success for all students, from those aiming for an A* to those who just need some help with the basics to ensure they achieve a good passing grade.
My online lessons are based on using an online whiteboad and PowerPoints.
