I’m an experienced Business Studies and Economics teacher with 9 years of classroom experience, including several years as a Head of Business & Economics. I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts, build confidence and develop the exam skills they need to succeed. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing students make progress and realise that subjects they once found difficult can become enjoyable and manageable.

Struggling to understand Business Studies or Economics? Looking for someone who can make the subject clearer, more practical and easier to apply in exams?
I’m an experienced Business Studies and Economics teacher with 9 years of classroom experience, including several years as a Head of Business & Economics. I’ve taught GCSE, A-Level and BTEC students and have worked extensively with students of different abilities and confidence levels.
My approach is about more than simply going through the textbook. I focus on helping students understand why things happen, apply their knowledge to real businesses and economic situations, and develop the exam technique needed to turn that understanding into marks.

What you can expect
Lessons are tailored to the individual student. Whether your child is struggling with the basics, looking to improve their grades, or aiming for the highest marks, we’ll identify what is holding them back and work on it systematically.
I particularly enjoy making complicated ideas simple and memorable, using real-world examples and discussion rather than relying on endless worksheets.
Having been a Head of Department, I also have a strong understanding of what examiners are looking for, how courses are structured and what separates a good answer from an excellent one.
Most importantly, I want students to leave a lesson thinking “I actually understand that now” rather than simply having completed another worksheet.
