About Tawfiq
I am an undergraduate Conservation Biology student with a background in teaching zoology, botany, ecology, biodiversity, and marine biology, complemented by extensive fieldwork experience. By blending practical skills—such as snake handling, bird counts, endangered species work, animal rehabilitation, ecological surveys, environmental impact assessments, and intertidal research—with theoretical knowledge, I give students a deeper, more applied understanding of these subjects. Fluent in English and Afrikaans, I adapt my lessons to individual learning needs, ensuring they are clear, engaging, and interactive. My aim is to help learners excel academically, explore their interests, and foster a lasting appreciation for the natural world. In my first year, I received the award for Best Overall Achiever in my subjects, a standard I maintained throughout my second year, and I aspire to advance into academia as a lecturer and researcher.
