About Muaaz
My name is Muaaz, and I am a dedicated teacher of Arabic and Islamic Studies with a strong background in traditional Islamic scholarship and advanced academic study. I completed the Dars-e-Niẓāmī curriculum in the UK and at Jamia-tur-Rashid in Karachi, Pakistan, graduating with distinction, before continuing further studies in Istanbul and Cairo with scholars and lecturers connected to Al-Azhar University. My studies focused particularly on theology, intellectual history, and the Arabic language, and I have received ijāzahs in multiple classical texts across different Islamic sciences and areas of Arabic literature.
I currently teach full-time at a boarding Dār al-ʿUlūm with high academic standards and have several years of teaching experience working with students of different ages and abilities. Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, particularly helping students move beyond surface-level learning towards real understanding and appreciation of the Arabic language and Islamic tradition.
My aim is to create lessons that are clear, structured, engaging, and beneficial, while maintaining a supportive and professional learning environment. Whether a student is beginning from scratch or pursuing advanced studies, I strive to make learning accessible, meaningful, and intellectually enriching.

My teaching approach combines traditional Islamic scholarship with a clear, structured, and student-focused methodology. I aim to make lessons engaging, accessible, and intellectually beneficial, helping students develop genuine understanding rather than relying on memorisation alone. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, use regular revision and guided reading, and adapt lessons according to each student’s level, pace, and goals. What really makes my lessons unique is how I adapt to the student's individual needs and pace, ensuring a truly tailored experience.
For Arabic, I teach reading, writing, grammar (naḥw), morphology (ṣarf), vocabulary, comprehension, and classical Arabic. In Islamic Studies, I teach subjects such as ʿaqīdah, fiqh, tafsīr, spirituality, and intellectual history. Lessons are designed to build strong foundations while gradually developing confidence and independence in the student.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate. I currently teach full-time at a boarding Dār al-ʿUlūm with high academic standards and have over three years of teaching experience. My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, adults, and students of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced learners studying classical texts and deeper theological subjects.

Perfect! I highly recommend Mawlana Muaaz as an Arabic and Islamic Studies tutor. He is incredibly knowledgeable, but what really sets him apart is his ability to make complex topics simple, clear, and easy to understand. His lessons are always enlightening, engaging, and leave me with a much deeper understanding of the subject.
