About Ruairí
I am a qualified primary school teacher with several years of classroom experience, mainly in upper Key Stage 2. I have supported pupils with a wide range of abilities, from children who need help rebuilding confidence to those ready for greater challenge.
I specialise in helping children develop confidence in English, particularly reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, punctuation and writing. My approach is calm, patient and structured, with a focus on helping pupils understand how to improve rather than simply telling them what to fix.
I understand the demands of the primary curriculum and the importance of preparing children for post-primary school. My aim is to help pupils become more confident, independent readers and writers.

English can feel difficult when children are unsure how to explain their ideas, structure their writing or understand what a question is really asking. My lessons give pupils time to slow down, ask questions and build confidence in a calm, supportive environment.
I support pupils with reading comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, punctuation and writing. Lessons are tailored to each child and include clear examples, step-by-step modelling, guided practice and regular review.
My aim is to help pupils become more confident readers and writers who can explain their ideas clearly and approach English with greater independence.
