About Bryson
I approach both academics and athletics with confidence, discipline, and a determination to succeed, and I bring that same energy into tutoring. I believe in my ability to guide students not only because of my mastery of Python, but also because of the persistence and resilience I have developed as a Division I athlete. My goal is to inspire each student to recognize their own potential by showing them that challenges are simply opportunities for growth. I encourage my students to approach coding with curiosity and confidence, reminding them that mistakes are part of the learning process. By modeling perseverance and a positive mindset, I aim to help every student build both their technical skills and their belief in themselves.

Having studied educational psychology, I understand the importance of using evidence-based teaching strategies to maximize learning. My approach is interactive and student-centered—I focus on simplifying complex concepts, breaking them down into manageable steps, and reinforcing learning through practical application. I believe the best way to learn coding is by engaging with it directly, so my sessions emphasize hands-on practice rather than passive lectures.
Each lesson is carefully designed in advance and runs about one hour. I begin with a quick review of previous material to ensure understanding, then introduce the day’s concept through clear explanations and examples. We immediately apply the concept in small coding exercises, which gradually build up in difficulty. By the end of the session, students complete a short challenge or project that ties everything together, reinforcing mastery of the material. What makes me different is my passion for both coding and teaching. I view programming as a creative problem-solving activity, not just lines of code. To make learning fun and memorable, I design lessons that feel more like interactive games or challenges than strict lectures. This keeps students engaged and motivated, transforming what can seem like intimidating material into an enjoyable experience. My tutoring is tailored for high school students preparing for AP Computer Science and college beginners taking their first programming classes. Whether you are aiming to excel on exams, strengthen your foundation in Python, or simply gain confidence in coding, my sessions are designed to meet you at your current level and help you advance toward your goals.
