About Astrid
I am Astrid :) a Python programmer with 7 years' experience and currently pursuing a Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence with the University of Essex. Before this, I was leading the Test Automation Framework for a data analytics product where I would ensure bug-free production and assist the other coders when in need. Outside of Superprof I teach Start & Advanced coding courses in both Scratch and Python, and have had very positive responses from both my students and their parents. Passing my teachings on to the next generation feels extremely rewarding. Aside from coding skills, I teach students about soft skills such as critical thinking and time management. We live in a digital age where programming will be an essential skill for the next generation. Besides being passionate about helping young adults develop coding skills and broadening their career horizons, I'm strongly driven to prepare my students with the skills necessary to excel in this future.

Alongside my Masters in Artificial Intelligence I have been tutoring students of all ages. For the younger coders we tend to start coding with the visual code-based platform Scratch before we dive into text-based coding. I will personalise the curriculum for each individual student, if working with siblings we could discuss group classes. After Scratch, we will continue with Python - considered a top programming language and listed in the top 3 most popular coding languages over and over again. Python is also the core programming language in pretty much anything Artificial Intelligence. Considering the current state of technology (AI is booming!), this will set you or your child up with an excellent head-start to excel in this tech-heavy generation. I will teach my students the concepts of Object-Oriented Programming through Python. We will work with data structures, algorithmic constructions, programme functions, create our own modules, and define our own classes for custom projects.
