About Soumya
Teaching and learning go hand-in-hand. A teacher not only teaches but also learns from the student ~ their strength, what works for them and encourages them to do their best.
I teach in the way I would like to be taught; beyond books, drawing inspiration from the best teachers I had been blessed with, in my academic journey. A student always remembers a good teacher~ one who guides them efficiently with the lessons as well as imparts lessons for a lifetime.
I believe the teaching/learning process should be interesting and autonomous, wherein the subjects shall be studied with enthusiasm rather than something to stress over. Marks are important insofar as promotion/qualification to the next step is considered. But the learning outcomes stay well beyond the mark sheet. It is my responsibility to empower the student with knowledge as well as the tools to effectively deal with challenges within academia as well as applying the subject matter across diverse situations.
I am evermore indebted to the growth and strength derived from teaching and learning. So I have immense faith in the capabilities of the student and in myself; let our teamwork be worthwhile and let us emerge victorious, wise and informed at the other side!
