About Tomi
As a Psychology & Neuroscience student, I am passionate about education and helping students reach their full potential. I tutor GCSE and A-Level students in Science, Psychology, and History, using an engaging and tailored approach to make learning both effective and enjoyable. In addition to my academic subjects, I also offer coding lessons, helping students develop valuable programming skills. Currently, I am in the process of creating my first quiz app, which has given me hands-on experience in problem-solving, logical thinking, and software development—skills I integrate into my tutoring sessions. With my experience and dedication, I aim to build confidence, critical thinking, and strong study techniques in all my students. Whether you're preparing for exams, struggling with a subject, or looking to develop new skills, I provide personalised support to help you succeed!

My Approach to Tutoring I take a student-centred approach, tailoring my lessons to each student's learning style and needs. My teaching methodology includes: Breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable concepts. Active learning techniques, such as discussion-based learning, quizzes, and exam-style practice questions. Encouraging critical thinking and application of knowledge to real-world examples. Using visual aids and memory techniques (mind maps, diagrams, and mnemonics) to enhance understanding and retention. Lesson Structure Typical lesson length: 60 minutes, but can be adjusted based on the student's needs. Lessons include a mix of theory, application, and exam practice to build both knowledge and confidence. Qualifications & Experience Studying Psychology & Neuroscience Strong academic background in all sciences, psychology, and history Experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students, helping them improve grades and study techniques.
