About Priyata
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Neuroscience. My research was on cognitive development, hence I spend countless hours reading journals and writing a thesis. Throughout college, I worked at the writing center where I have assisted classmates and other students with their assignments for class, applications to graduate school, and resume building. Sometimes, I acted as a second/fresh set of eyes for students who were simply not connecting to their writing. I was in a Constitutional Law Debate program for 4 years where I annotated columns of legal publications and wrote briefs. I also wrote speeches persuading either Prosecution or Defense side. With all these years, I’ve acquired a passion for correspondence and the English language. I am currently in Medical School.

I try to spend some time at the beginning of the lesson conversing with the student, in order to find their tone and style of speech. That information is crucial when writing any piece of work, as they each have to match the student’s nature. I understand each individual is unique in their own way, and hence their writing should reflect what they have to offer. My job is to make sure the assignment/task follows all the requirements under a certain rubric or rule, and to make the writing flow as per the student’s desire. The lesson could be about writing an essay for class, proofreading an essay the student already wrote, brainstorming ideas on prompts for an application, or even composing an email for a job. I’m here to listen and provide experience to someone who can benefit from it.
