About Tamas
I have been playing chess since the age of six. I became IM (international master) in 2012. I play for three different chess clubs in three different countries (Hungary, Romania and Serbia). I was a history teacher for more than a decade, so I have a lot of experience with students with different skills, ages and habits. I think I am a funny person and I can teach you interesting things about chess and life! I like interactive lessons, so you can expect to be an active participant in the lesson, as in my opinion it is the fastest way to get to the next level.

I adapt my teaching methods based on the student’s level, objectives and needs. We start by checking the student’s games because then we can identify the strengths and weaknesses! Afterwards we talk about them, create a strategy and then start the improvement step by step. If I want to detail my method a little bit more then I think that is crucial to analyse your own games! All the time I will try to increase your pattern recognition! Of course we can learn new openings, understand basic and theoretical endgames!
