About Tia
I am an aspiring psychologist who is ready to go on to get a degree in the subject as I've always had a passion for Psychology. I want to inspire other students into STEM careers, especially in psychology! I can understanding relate to students at school during tough times such as exam season, and will use my knowledge and experience to help students do the best they can when it comes to these important times! I want students to enjoy learning, and enjoy gaining new knowledge as they progress through the world, rather than seeing it as a chore.

My teaching method involves studying the students specification, and then assessing the areas which the student needs to focus most of their efforts in order to achieve the grades they need. I can then adapt my methods to fit the student's needs, for example using real life examples so they can gain a deeper understanding, or explaining basic concepts before building up to complex ideas. I also think it's important to teach exam techniques and go over common mistakes to avoid in order to reach higher grades. I have both GCSEs and A-Levels in Psychology, Biology and Chemistry and from September 2021 I will be an undergraduate in Psychology Bsc at the University of Nottingham. My lessons target 11-16 year olds, from years 7 to 11.
