About Asher
I have 9 years of experience teaching Computer Programming, helping learners gain both technical competence and problem-solving ability. I earned a B.Sc in Computer Science, which gave me a deep understanding of coding logic, software systems, and algorithms. Over my teaching career, I have supported students of all levels, emphasizing structured, interactive, and engaging lessons that build confidence, analytical reasoning, and practical coding skills.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, adaptability, and hands-on learning. I connect abstract coding concepts to real-world examples, encourage experimentation, and guide students to develop problem-solving strategies that foster independence and confidence. Lessons are personalized to each learner’s pace, ensuring comprehension, mastery, and growth.
Outside teaching, I stay involved in software development, emerging technologies, and programming innovations to enrich my lessons. Teaching programming is fulfilling because I witness learners transform uncertainty into mastery, creativity, and independence. Programming becomes engaging when learners understand the logic behind code, algorithms, and structured problem-solving. In my lessons, I cover Python, Java, C++, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, debugging, and project-based software development. I focus on building conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, and practical skills, while creating an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and exploring creative solutions. Lessons include examples from real-world projects, interactive exercises, and step-by-step explanations to build confidence and competence.
Lesson plans are tailored to the student’s level. Beginners focus on syntax, variables, loops, conditionals, and small projects to establish a solid foundation. Intermediate learners explore modular programming, recursion, debugging strategies, and structured problem-solving. Advanced learners tackle algorithms, optimization, API integration, and complex project design. Every lesson integrates guided practice, discussion, and feedback to reinforce learning, problem-solving, and independent thinking skills.
