About Zaya
My passion for programming began with a fascination for how small lines of code can create meaningful, functioning applications. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science followed by an M.Sc in Software Engineering, equipping me with a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of programming. Over 10 years, I have guided students of all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced developers, helping them gain confidence, mastery, and independent problem-solving abilities.
I approach teaching with patience, clarity, and structured engagement. Lessons focus on step-by-step explanation, practical exercises, and real-world applications, ensuring learners understand the “why” behind each solution. I encourage creativity, experimentation, and iterative improvement, fostering critical thinking and resilience in students.
Beyond the classroom, I engage with emerging technologies, software development projects, and coding communities to maintain contemporary, relevant knowledge. Witnessing students grow from uncertainty to independence, producing projects they can be proud of, is incredibly rewarding. Supporting learners in developing both technical skill and self-assurance remains the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Programming lessons are designed to make complex logic, algorithms, and coding concepts approachable, engaging, and practical. I cover a range of topics including programming fundamentals, object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, debugging strategies, and application development. Lessons emphasise understanding the underlying logic and rationale behind code, helping students move beyond rote memorisation and build transferable problem-solving skills that extend to real-world scenarios.
I customise lessons according to the learner’s experience. Beginners focus on basic syntax, variables, control structures, and simple programmes to establish a solid foundation. Intermediate learners explore modular coding, algorithms, and debugging practices to develop confidence in building more complex applications. Advanced learners tackle performance optimisation, API integration, data manipulation, and project-based learning. Each session incorporates hands-on practice, guided explanations, and iterative feedback to ensure mastery and confidence.
Programming lessons also enhance analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and resilience in problem-solving. Students learn to approach challenges methodically, experiment creatively, and develop confidence in their coding abilities. My goal is to create a supportive, motivating environment where learners progress steadily and feel empowered to tackle increasingly challenging projects.
