About Piper
My interest in programming began with curiosity about how logical instructions can create useful software and applications. This led me to pursue a PhD in Computer Science, where I developed deep knowledge of programming and system design. Over the past 12 years, I have helped students learn coding through clear explanations and structured practice that builds confidence and strong understanding.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and practical learning. I simplify complex coding ideas into easy steps and use real-life examples to make learning more understandable. I encourage students to ask questions and experiment with code, which helps them build confidence and improve problem-solving skills. I always aim to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment.
I continue to explore new technologies and improve my teaching methods regularly. Watching students grow from beginners to confident programmers is very rewarding. Many learners who initially struggle begin to write code independently and understand concepts clearly. Helping them achieve this progress motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and care.

Programming becomes easier when students understand how logic works step by step instead of memorising code without clarity. In my lessons, I focus on key areas such as variables, loops, conditions, functions, and data structures using simple and structured explanations. I break down each concept into smaller steps so students can follow comfortably and understand how different parts of a programme work together. I also use practical examples such as small projects and real-world scenarios to make learning more meaningful and engaging. This helps students connect theory with actual coding practice.
Lessons are planned based on the student’s level and learning pace. Beginners focus on basic syntax, simple programmes, and understanding logic clearly. Intermediate learners work on structured coding, debugging, and writing efficient programmes. Advanced students focus on algorithms, project development, and improving problem-solving skills. I include hands-on practice in every lesson so students can apply what they learn immediately. Regular feedback helps them correct mistakes and improve their coding confidence steadily.
As students continue learning, they begin to see programming as a logical and creative skill instead of something difficult. Many learners gain confidence as they build their own programmes and solve problems independently. This growth helps them in academics and future careers. My goal is to make programming simple, structured, and engaging while helping students build strong confidence and long-term skills.
