About Daphne
My passion for programming began with curiosity about creating functional solutions from logical steps. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering, equipping me with both theoretical and practical expertise. Over 10 years, I have taught students of all levels, helping them develop coding proficiency, analytical skills, and confidence.
I teach using clarity, structured exercises, and interactive methods, combining guided examples, hands-on practice, and problem-solving discussions. I encourage students to think critically, experiment independently, and approach coding creatively.
Outside teaching, I remain engaged with software projects, programming challenges, and emerging technologies to bring fresh insights into lessons. Witnessing learners transform from hesitation to mastery and confidently build functional programs is deeply rewarding and inspires me to continually refine my teaching approach.

Programming is both a creative and logical discipline, and my lessons are designed to make it accessible, practical, and inspiring. Students explore Python, JavaScript, data structures, algorithms, and project-based coding through structured guidance, examples, and interactive exercises. I emphasise understanding the reasoning behind each solution rather than rote memorisation, cultivating analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence. Each session encourages experimentation, iterative learning, and independent coding practice, creating a supportive environment for growth.
Lessons are customised based on proficiency. Beginners focus on syntax, loops, conditionals, and problem-solving techniques, building a solid foundation. Intermediate learners work on object-oriented programming, functions, debugging, and modular code design to develop fluency and confidence. Advanced learners engage with algorithms, optimisation, API integration, and project architecture, preparing for professional or academic challenges. Practical exercises, coding projects, and guided feedback reinforce comprehension and skill application.
Beyond coding skills, programming lessons cultivate structured thinking, logical reasoning, and resilience when facing complex problems.
