About Ursula
My interest in programming started with the desire to create and automate solutions, leading me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering. Over 10 years, I have taught students from beginners to advanced coders, helping them develop a strong foundation and analytical approach to problem-solving.
I emphasise structured, interactive lessons that combine explanations, coding exercises, and real-world applications. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and independent thinking, guiding students to understand not only how code works but why it functions the way it does.
Outside of teaching, I continuously explore new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies. Integrating current trends and real-world applications into lessons keeps learning relevant and engaging. Seeing students progress from uncertainty to confidence and successfully building their own programmes is the most rewarding aspect of my professional journey.

Programming lessons with me are focused on building both technical skill and logical reasoning. I cover programming fundamentals such as variables, loops, conditions, functions, object-oriented programming, and structured problem-solving. Lessons progress to advanced concepts like algorithms, data structures, automation, and project development. Each class integrates hands-on coding exercises, real-world projects, and guided exploration to foster deep understanding and confidence.
For beginners, I focus on writing clean, correct code, understanding syntax, and learning to debug problems. Intermediate learners explore structured programmes, modular design, and algorithmic thinking. Advanced learners tackle optimisation, API integration, software architecture, and computational efficiency. Every session includes practical exercises, code review, and conceptual reinforcement to ensure students develop both proficiency and analytical capability.
Programming lessons cultivate patience, logical reasoning, and independent problem-solving skills. Students learn to break down complex challenges, build working solutions, and gain confidence in coding. My goal is to empower learners to see programming not just as code but as a tool for creativity, analysis, and real-world problem-solving.
