About Ayla
My journey in programming began with curiosity about designing software solutions and understanding computational logic. I earned a B.Sc in Computer Science, which provided me with a solid foundation in algorithms, software engineering, and data structures. Over 10 years of teaching, I have worked with students at various levels, helping them gain practical coding skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving confidence.
I believe programming should be taught with patience, structure, and adaptability. Lessons are tailored to each learner’s pace and style, integrating interactive exercises, real-world applications, and conceptual discussion to ensure deep understanding. I emphasise not just “how” code works but “why,” fostering independent thinking and resilience.
Outside teaching, I engage in personal coding projects, software research, and learning emerging technologies. Teaching programming is deeply satisfying because I witness learners evolve from uncertainty to independence and confidence. Helping students develop the skills to create functional, innovative solutions is the most rewarding aspect of my work.

Programming lessons with me are structured to help learners develop a solid foundation in computational thinking, logic, and coding skills. I focus on ensuring students understand core concepts such as variables, loops, conditional statements, and functions before progressing to complex programming challenges. Lessons are interactive, hands-on, and practical, enabling students to see the immediate effect of their code and encouraging experimentation in a safe learning environment. I emphasise clarity, reasoning, and methodical problem-solving so students not only write programs but understand the logic behind them.
As learners advance, I introduce object-oriented programming, data structures, recursion, and algorithms. Lessons are designed to enhance problem-solving strategies, debugging skills, and project planning. Real-world examples, coding exercises, and guided projects reinforce understanding and build confidence. Students are encouraged to develop their own solutions and reflect on different approaches, ensuring conceptual mastery and practical skill development.
Programming education also strengthens logical thinking, patience, and adaptability. Students gain confidence in tackling computational challenges, writing efficient code, and approaching problems systematically. My goal is to help learners feel empowered and independent in programming, able to design, implement, and refine solutions for diverse projects and professional applications.
