About Lena
My interest in programming began with curiosity about how logical sequences and computational systems can solve complex problems creatively. This passion led me to pursue an M.Sc in Computer Science, where I gained a deep understanding of software systems, algorithms, and programming paradigms. Over the past 11 years, I have taught students of diverse backgrounds, helping them gain practical competence, conceptual understanding, and confidence in coding while nurturing analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
I adopt a patient, adaptive, and interactive teaching style, emphasizing understanding rather than rote memorization. I provide clear explanations, real-world examples, and opportunities for hands-on experimentation. This approach ensures students internalize core concepts, develop independent problem-solving skills, and approach challenges confidently and creatively.
Outside the classroom, I actively explore emerging technologies, software projects, and innovative solutions, which enrich my lessons with real-world relevance and contemporary examples. Teaching programming is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow from tentative beginners into confident, capable coders equipped to tackle academic, professional, and creative challenges with skill and assurance.
