About Mae
My journey in programming began with a strong interest in understanding how software systems work and how logic can be used to create solutions. I completed a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, where I developed advanced coding and analytical skills. Over the past 9 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds, helping them build confidence and technical understanding. Teaching allows me to simplify complex ideas and guide learners effectively.
My teaching style is practical, flexible, and student-focused. I believe students learn best through consistent practice, so I include coding exercises in every lesson. I break down complex problems into smaller steps so they become easier to understand. I also create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. This helps them improve steadily and stay motivated.
Outside teaching, I continue working on programming projects and exploring new technologies to stay updated. This helps me bring real-world relevance into my lessons. Teaching programming is meaningful to me because I see students grow from beginners to confident coders. Helping them build strong skills, improve their confidence, and prepare for future opportunities is something I truly value, and I remain committed to supporting their long-term growth and success.

My programming lessons are designed to make coding clear, structured, and easy to understand for every student. Intermediate learners focus on structured programming, debugging, and small project development. Advanced students work on algorithms, optimisation techniques, and building complete applications. I provide regular practice, corrections, and guidance to ensure steady improvement. This structured approach helps students develop strong programming skills without confusion.
Programming also helps students develop logical thinking, creativity, and patience. As they begin to build their own programmes, they feel more confident and motivated. Many students enjoy solving problems and creating useful applications. My goal is to make programming simple, practical, and meaningful. I want students to become independent learners who can think clearly, solve problems efficiently, and apply their coding skills in real-world situations and future technology-related opportunities.
