About Émilie
My interest in programming started with exploring how small lines of code can create meaningful outcomes, which inspired me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering. Over 8 years, I have helped students at different levels develop logical thinking, coding ability, and confidence in programming. I focus on patience, clarity, and structured guidance to help learners progress steadily while enjoying the process of learning.
I emphasise interactive and practical teaching methods, combining coding exercises, small projects, and step-by-step explanations to make abstract concepts tangible. I encourage independent thinking, experimentation, and problem-solving, helping students build confidence alongside technical skills. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace and learning style, ensuring balanced progress and engagement.
Outside the classroom, I continue exploring emerging technologies, coding challenges, and software development techniques to enrich my lessons with relevant, real-world examples. Watching students transform from hesitant beginners to confident programmers capable of building projects is immensely rewarding. My aim is to instil curiosity, logical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for the power and creativity of coding in every student I teach.

Programming becomes both exciting and accessible when students understand the logic behind coding rather than just syntax. My lessons cover Python, Java, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design, using clear, simple explanations with practical examples. I focus on interactive exercises, project-based learning, and step-by-step guidance, so students can build functional programmes while gaining confidence in their problem-solving abilities.
Lessons are customised according to skill level. Beginners focus on variables, loops, conditions, basic functions, and simple programmes. Intermediate learners develop modular code, data structures, debugging skills, and small projects. Advanced students tackle algorithms, optimisation, project management, and coding challenges or interview preparation. Each lesson combines guided practice, reasoning support, and code review to ensure students develop both understanding and practical capability.
Learning programming strengthens logical thinking, problem-solving, and creative skills. Students develop patience, analytical reasoning, and confidence as they see their ideas come to life in code. My goal is to help learners approach technology with curiosity, creativity, and independence, enabling them to design, develop, and solve problems effectively while enjoying the process of learning to code.
