About Javiera
I am a Professor of History, Geography and Social Sciences and a BA in History from the same house of study, P. Universidad Católica de Chile. I have experience in private classes for more than seven years with students between the ages of 6 and 19; with very good results. During the year 2020 I did my professional practice (taking 100% of the course (taking tests, taking classes, reviewing material, evaluating, creating material, etc.) at the Monte Olivo de Puente Alto School. As a teacher I am interested in promoting a critical look at history and raise awareness that students are subjects that must be listened to and taken into account in what happens at the historical level.

My teaching methodology is based on involving students in their own learning process. It interests me that they manage to understand that history is alive and is part of each one of them. In general, my classes start with teaching materials where students can awaken their previous knowledge (on web platforms such as Kahoot, Mentimeter, Nearpod, Socrative, Padlet, Quizizz, Genially, etc.). Subsequently, I develop the class theme, keeping in mind the constant participation and finally a joint synthesis is made to understand what was understood and what it was that most caught their attention. I have many virtual tools that promote a complete and successful teaching - learning by Zoom, Meet or other platforms.
