Professor Emeritus for organic chemistry with mechanism of reactions and interpretation and application to pharmacy

In my opinion, Omkarnath is a truly a superprof. He is extremely knowledgeable and yet can come down to the level of the student to explain in simple terms. He is reliable, patient and very approachable. He will be a good asset to student teaching.

A thorough understanding of the chemistry and has won a lot of accolades from students and professors. He also once received a recognition from one of the leading authors of organic chemistry on analysis of equations. Would give more than 5stars for the dedication and knowledge of the subject

He is very good at teaching ,thoughtful and has very good instructional effectiveness ,his communicational skills are very effective and allwase use to came with innovative ideas .He is a rich course of knowledge .

I know Mr. Omkarnath for almost 45+ years. He has been teaching organic chemistry in pharmacy colleges for past 50+ years and thus has aquired a tremendous experience & knowledge in his field of expertise. I think whoever needs in depth knowledge of organic chemistry should contact him to get benefitted from his vast experience. I know many pharmacy students who have benefited by his consultancy. He is highly recommended only because I found him very enthusiastic in helping the students throughout his career.

He is a true friend , philosopher and guide. Thoroughly upright, treats his students as his children. He has in-depth knowledge, never tiring attitude n kindness galore. Dr.Omkarnath Kamlapurkar is an extremely talented, well qualified and experienced professor in the subject of chemistry. He has taught me the basic principles of organic chemistry in the past using examples and teaching techniques which are very helpful for students to grasp and get an understanding of the subject easily. Dr.Kamlapurkar's pace of teaching and patience while teaching is very good. He understands the level of understanding of the student and teaches accordingly.

I was a lecturer when Omkarnath Kamalapurkar took the charge as a Principal atH K E S's Institute of Pharmceutical Sciences, Gulbarga. He is one of our most successful Principal. His strong faith in Teaching and as Administrator came shining through in his interaction with Faculty, Students and Parents as well. He is excitng, inspiring, and down to earth while dealing with Students.More than any other single lesson, his experienceb has conspired me the value of determined, confident effort. I AGREE THAT HIS CONFIDENCE IS A GIFT FROM GOD. When I look back over my association with him, I saw clearly that his confidence has been a fundamental and defininf personal trait of his life. He managed to salvage most of faculty's personal problems. Confidence was rooted in his hope that things will workout. He never let students' dreams die for lack of confidence. "Try or Cry" was his slogan. He used to tell students to either try or stop crying - confidence will come in the doing. Sir Omkarnath Kamalapur has built and maintained trust with students, families and colleagues to be effective. His trust comes from five qualities, each one as important as the next — kindness, reliability, competence, honesty and openness — that must come together to foster a sense of belief in our work. He is just honest. Telling the truth, no matter how difficult, is essential to teachers who want to be seen as trustworthy as he is. It is, but trusted people go a step further. Being honest with others means they expect you to speak plainly and directly to what you think and see about them. Yet we need to remember that honesty without compassion is a form of cruelty. He created an expectation that he always said what he meant, and also used to take the feeling of others into account.

What does his honesty in the classroom looked like?
He developed the trust of students when he used to’ speak to them with an honest belief in their ability. In his one-to-one student conferences, used data from their classwork assignments and tests to offer a thorough, direct picture of where they stand as students and how they need to grow. Practiced these same principles when meeting parents.
He never took the the easy road by avoiding honest conversations about difficult situations. Honesty is found in him in his plain language. When sharing his thoughts and opinions, he never went back on euphemisms and “soft” words to say what he meant. He was much better off using language that is clear and direct, while considerate of people’s feelings. His suggestions on to improve included the actions that produced improvements. He focussed on the behavior, not the student.

He also let the other person know what the meeting will be about. Getting called into the main office and then being expected to have a deep conversation isn’t something that people are naturally prepared for. He practiced what he preached.

O.S Kamlapursir is a good teacher with a very sound knowledge,with a great experience, and will be a tremendous Help to students..

Prof Kamalapurkar is one of the best teachers I came accross in my student life. He has depth in the subject(s) he teaches; he gives simple and nice examples to make the students understand the subject properly !

Sir extreme experience of around 40 years of experience in teaching will give vast knowledge to students. Also sir can help the students in understanding complex chemistry in a very simplified way along with easy grasping examples. Along with chemistry sir can elaborate various subjects with his superior knowledge. So I recommend strongly to consider.
