About Shilpa
Namaste I'm Shilpa, a strategy professional turned dedicated yoga instructor and happiness coach. Passionate about holistic wellness and personal development, I guide people towards physical strength, mental clarity, emotional resilience, and spiritual growth through yoga and ancient wisdom. From a young age, I was drawn to wellness, eventually completing my yoga teacher training at the Sivananda Ashram in Uttarkashi. I continue to study Vedanta, translating ancient knowledge into practical solutions for modern-day challenges. With a background in both the corporate sector and leading spirituality and devotion categories, I seamlessly integrate my understanding of life's challenges with effective wellness practices. My Approach as a Teacher
Teaching Techniques and Methods:
I integrate traditional hatha yoga practices with a modern understanding of well-being. My classes include a blend of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation to promote both physical vitality and mental clarity. I also weave in insights from Eastern philosophy and psychology, aiming to address life's deeper questions and support personal growth.
Usual Structure of a Class:
Each class typically starts with a brief meditation to center the mind, followed by a warm-up to prepare the body. We then move through a series of asanas designed to build strength, flexibility, and balance. I incorporate pranayama exercises to enhance breath control and energy flow. The class usually concludes with a guided Yoga nidra or relaxation to help integrate the practice and leave you feeling refreshed and centered.

Shilpa has good understanding of the Yoga sutras and way of living. She walks the talk and very detail oriented. I've benefitted well with her Yoga classes, which she usually starts with Vedic chants, breath work, asanas and ends with yoga nidra.
