About John
I am an experienced Singing tutor with 16 years of expertise in teaching students from various backgrounds and skill levels. I work with School students, College students, and Working Professionals who are eager to improve their singing abilities and gain confidence through music.
My teaching philosophy is built on encouragement, consistency, and individualised learning. I believe that every student deserves personal attention and a learning experience tailored to their goals. Therefore, I create lesson plans that help students develop their strengths while addressing areas that need improvement.
My lessons include breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, pitch training, rhythm development, voice projection, articulation, tone control, and stage presence. I use interactive teaching methods and practical exercises to make learning engaging and effective. Regular progress evaluations ensure that students continue moving towards their goals.
Besides Singing, I teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Coaching, Music Appreciation, and Performance Skills. These subjects help students gain a deeper understanding of music and become more complete musicians. I also provide guidance on effective practice techniques and performance preparation.
My aim is to inspire students to believe in themselves and enjoy the learning process. Through dedication, patience, and expert support, I help learners achieve lasting success in their musical journeys.

My teaching methodology for Singing focuses on helping students develop both performance skills and artistic expression through flexibility, creativity, understanding, and effective time management. I believe that successful singers need a balance of technical ability and emotional connection to music.
I begin by assessing each student's strengths, challenges, and goals. This helps me create customised lessons that encourage continuous improvement and confidence building.
Creativity is incorporated through song interpretation, vocal exercises, listening activities, and performance simulations. These methods help students strengthen their technical skills while expressing themselves more effectively.
My lessons focus on breathing support, pitch control, rhythm accuracy, diction, vocal tone, expression, and stage presence. Students learn practical strategies that can be applied in performances and everyday singing situations.
Understanding and encouragement create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and inspired to reach their potential.
Time management ensures that lessons remain productive and goal-oriented. Each session includes warm-ups, technical development, song practice, and performance coaching.
In addition to Singing, I can teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Care, Sight Singing, and Performance Preparation. My objective is to help students become confident and expressive performers.
