About Kayode
My name is Kayode Ewumi. I am an actor and writer known for my comedic performances and compelling storytelling. My web-series "HoodDocumentary" got picked up by the BBC in the year 2016 just after I had finished University. My background in acting and writing has allowed me to craft narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, blending humour and drama to explore the intricacies of modern life. In addition to my work in television, I am passionate about creating content that reflects the experiences of underrepresented voices. My writing often draws from my own experiences, allowing me to connect with viewers on a personal level. I aspire to teach and mentor aspiring artists, sharing my knowledge of the industry and the importance of self-expression. With my creativity and dedication, I hope to continue to make a significant impact in the world of entertainment and give back to others who need the help.

My approach to tutoring is rooted in fostering a supportive and engaging environment that encourages creativity and room for mistakes. I believe that through mistakes, is how one becomes more confident to try again. Every student has a unique voice, and my goal is to help them discover and hone that voice. In my classes, I incorporate interactive techniques, such as improvisational exercises, vocal warm-ups and collaborative writing projects, to keep students actively involved in their learning. By drawing from my experiences as an actor and writer, I emphasise the importance of storytelling and self-expression, guiding students to explore their ideas in a safe space. My lessons usually take no longer than 1 hour, but if you would like extra time, that can be arranged. I have a TEFL qualification, a literary agent (Independent), acting agent (TAP) and American representation. I also have a 1st class Degree in Theatre and English from Coventry University. My lessons are for those between the ages of 11-60 years. You don't need to have professional experience, all you need is a desire to want to do more and learn. That's all I ask from you as a student and I will give you my time, dedication and most importantly... my best!
