About Robert-Jan
I am a saxophonist from The Netherlands who recently moved to Sheffield. I've been professionally trained, and have taught saxophone and other music subjects for several years. My background is in jazz and pop music, which means I can teach you not only how to read music and how the instrument works, but I can also teach you everything about improvisation.

I teach students of any level, my focus will be on contemporary music as that is what I'm trained to do. Together with my students, I find out what they want to learn, and build up my lessons so they can get there quickly. I like to push students beyond their comfort zone in every lesson, to get the most out of the lessons and out of the student.
