About Andy
I have been involved in martial arts and qigong from 1985 but my interest in qigong was not sparked until a visit to Australia in 1998. I came home and started to practice, research and invest in my own certification and training programme. During 2006 I was asked to teach and from that time Qigong has become my daily labour of love.
The qigong I teach to people, some of whom have major health concerns (such as MS and Parkinson's), is easy to learn and I personally have benefitted when my health deteriorated after major back issues and failed surgery (leaving me unable to walk).
I have been teaching a variety of subjects since 1990, starting with karate, moving through IT related subjects, now Qigong and very recently English (TEFL). I am able to teach individuals and groups of all ages.

Generally, I teach students what they need to know - based upon discussions around their aims for learning. For example, some people require flexibility while others want relaxation and stress relief. Qigong is so versatile that it can encompass all things. Lessons are at the student's pace and I am an empathic tutor, which means most of the time I am aware of how much progress and understanding is being made and adjust accordingly (but I am also human so I am not fallible). Included in my repertoire of skills is my recently acquired tutoring of English (TEFL) which follows the same patterns of teaching methodology as already outlined.
