About Josie
Hi, I’m Josie — a professional photographer, videographer, visual storyteller, creative director, and founder of INKA Original Productions. With over 20 years of experience in photo and video, I have completed more than 1,000 photoshoots and productions, helping individuals, families, brands, and organizations bring their stories to life through powerful imagery.
My work spans weddings, branding and business content, events and celebrations, maternity and newborn photography, portraits, music videos, commercials, nonprofit events, and creative campaigns. Working across so many styles and environments has given me a deep understanding of both the technical and artistic sides of photography — and how to make people feel comfortable, confident, and seen in front of the camera.
Before focusing fully on photography and film, I worked as an Art & Spanish teacher for grades 1–8, which shaped my patient, encouraging, and personalized teaching style. I understand that every student learns differently, and I enjoy helping people grow at their own pace.
Whether you are picking up a camera for the first time, building a portfolio, creating content for your business, or simply wanting to deepen your creativity, my goal is to help you build confidence, sharpen your eye, and discover your unique visual voice.

My teaching style is creative, hands-on, and personalized to each student. As a professional photographer, creative director, and former Art & Spanish teacher for grades 1–8, I understand that everyone learns differently and I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment.
Lessons are tailored to your goals and experience level — whether you are a beginner learning camera basics, a creative wanting to improve composition and editing, or an entrepreneur building content for your brand. We can cover camera settings, lighting, posing, composition, storytelling, editing, and creative confidence.
What sets me apart is my mix of real-world photography experience and teaching experience. I focus not only on technical skills, but also on helping students develop their artistic eye and confidence behind the camera. Lessons are open to kids, teens, and adults — beginner to advanced.
