About Laura
I am a professional flautist and currently work as assistant principal flautist with the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra. I hold two master's degrees in flute performance (Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona) and a bachelor's degree in music education (Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland). I have performed as a flautist with various symphony orchestras in Spain and Finland and have over 10 years of teaching experience, primarily with advanced students and musicians pursuing professional careers. The classes are designed to help you prepare for auditions effectively, in a structured and realistic way, based on direct experience within professional orchestras. We specifically work on: • Orchestral excerpts commonly used in auditions • Orchestral style, tempo, articulation, and character • Efficient study strategies • Mental preparation and pressure management • Audition simulations and detailed feedback. When necessary, I incorporate body techniques and mindfulness tools, especially useful for working on tension, breathing, and stage presence. The classes are 100% online, with a highly effective format for this type of preparation. The classes are designed for: • Undergraduate or Master's students • Musicians preparing for auditions in Spanish or European orchestras • Flutists at an advanced or pre-professional level • Professionals who wish to improve their audition performance
