About Miles
Hello, My name is Miles and I love to share my knowledge and experiences.
It was a normal weekday, and 7yo me was playing on the computer when I heard the doorbell ring, followed by the scurrying sound of my mother's slippers as she heads towards the front door.
"Miles! come quick, come!" She called as she passes my room waving her hand for me to go with her.
Then there standing outside, was my (now almost 25yrs+ great friend and) violin teacher, holding two violin cases.
That was how my musical journey began.
I'm not going to lie, the journey was very very difficult at times(esp. with my asian mother), but before I knew, violin practising became simply playing the violin and I loved it.
If you are willing, I would love to share all my experiences and knowledges with you or your child; as I guide and show from playing the violin, to performing this beautiful instrument.

Techniques and Teaching methods:
I love teaching, and have been told that I have a knack for teaching, as I am able to pick-up how a student learns best; whether it's listening first then following or playing it themselves a few times, to playing together slowly; there are many ways in which students learn best.
Length of a lesson:
I can do 30, 45mins or 1hr lessons to suit each person's needs.
Qualifications/experience as a tutor:
I have been playing the violin for 20+years and have been teaching for 5+ years now.
Who are your lessons for:
I have taught students from the age of 3yo to 69yo, and have had very positive results.
Teaching to me, is about being able to convey and pass on your knowledge/experience to the student. I wish for all my students to surpass me one day; then I know I have succeeded.
