About Joe
I have always been passionately devoted to music and enjoy teaching new skills to others as much as I enjoy crafting them myself. I am a highly experienced musician having played the piano and saxophone since I was 7 years old, resulting in a career which has included performing in world renowned venues such as La Folie Douce in the French Alps, as well as regularly performing across the country playing the saxophone at private events as well as clubs and bars. Most notable customers have included comedian Jack Whitehall and premier league footballer Tyrone Mings.
Music is my main passion, however I also enjoy skiing, snowboarding and tennis. As an easy going person with a versatile skillset I believe I can help anyone develop their musical ability, become inspired to reach their full potential and have lots of fun in the process!

For several years I have been teaching piano and saxophone to a wide range of students of all ages, abilities and interests, thoroughly enjoying nurturing the natural excitement and talent in each of them. During this time I have developed a tried and tested process to helping my students become well-rounded musicians by exploring many different aspects and styles in music. I have a 100% pass rate for all students who have entered into graded examinations. I am also a maths tutor with several primary aged and GCSE students, so I have lots of experience in working with children and fostering the essential qualities needed to achieve their goals.
When teaching I ensure each lesson is tailored to the individual personality and aims of each student whilst ensuring the learning environment is relaxed yet focused. Outside of the lesson I believe that inspiring students to really enjoy practising and crafting their skills leads to significant results, so I therefore make it a primary aim to encourage this from the start. I have a modern teaching style and can offer expertise in newer genres such as jazz, pop, neo-soul and funk, as well as being able to teach classical and the ability to read music.
Overall, I like to keep lessons fun and engaging so that anyone can experience the same joy that music brought me.
