About Victoria
I am a professional musician who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and Music Production, with Magna Cum Laude honors, from Ramapo College of New Jersey. I am currently taking courses to obtain a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Music Technology. I have completed a 255 hour piano and music theory teaching internship at Shobo Music Academy in New Jersey, and have experience working with students of all ages as a music educator. I am a compassionate, friendly and animated teacher who takes a holistic, self-motivated approach to teaching- taking into account the needs of every student and working to accommodate them. I believe a teacher can inspire personal development, and I hope to fill that role as your tutor. I use my creativity, humor, and sociability to gain rapport and connect with my students.

Have you been struggling in your Music Theory classes? Are you curious about becoming a Songwriter or Pianist? My name is Victoria, and I offer virtual lessons to improve your theory skills, learn piano, and/or to learn how to write songs. I work with students between the elementary and undergraduate level. In your first lesson with me, I will ask you about your musical experience and in what areas you would like to improve. Together, we will create a lesson plan that meets your needs. In our future lessons, we will use modalities such as listening sessions, theory exercises, skill building, songwriting prompts, composing new music, and even keeping a music journal to examine progress and personal development. The workload is tailored to the needs and limitations of the student, as well as age and level of experience.
