About Dawson
My music career started in high- school when I joined the choir, at first I didn’t like it until my teacher took me under her wing and showed me how much fun it can be to learn all about my passion. From then on I was hooked. Though I didn’t go to university my knowledge came from experience. My skills landed me huge opportunities playing banjo at Boots & Hearts Country Music Festival, and songwriting with world renowned songwriters such as Geoff Warburton and Victoria Duffield to name a few. I believe that music in any capacity such a wonderful skill to have as it’s given me so much more then a career, but life long friends, and work relationships!

Together, we can take your guitar playing and singing from zero to hero. We can dissect what you’d like to accomplish with your lessons and work together to achieve your goals! All my lessons differ from student to student, as I want to teach what you want to learn. My teaching style is positive motivation based and our mantra is practice makes perfect. I’m very easy going with my students and can quickly adapt to all learning styles, as I believe that everyone learns differently. In school I was not much of a scholar until my music teacher turned my attitude around with hers. It gave me the confidence to know that I wasn’t a bad student I just learned differently than others and that’s what I set out to do for all my students!
