I first met Ernesto at the end of 2021 when I moved to Mexico. At the time, I didn’t speak much Spanish, but because he is fluent in both English and Spanish, we were able to communicate easily and make every lesson enjoyable. From day one, he made me feel comfortable and welcomed, no matter my skill level or language barrier.

I took in-person lessons with Ernesto for about two years, and during that time I learned so much. He introduced me to new techniques, songs, and playing styles that helped me grow A LOT as a guitarist. His teaching inspired me so much that I eventually started my own band with my friends. Even after I moved back to the United States, Ernesto offered to continue our lessons online, which allowed me to keep improving and stay connected with an amazing teacher.

One of the things I appreciate most about Ernesto is how flexible and considerate he is. There were times when I arrived late to a lesson, and since he had extra time afterward, he let me stay longer so I wouldn’t miss out. Another time, during a severe rainstorm, my parents were stuck in heavy traffic and couldn’t pick me up after my lesson. Ernesto had no problem letting me stay until they arrived, making sure I was safe and comfortable.

Beyond being an incredible teacher, Ernesto is genuinely a great person. He’s invited my family and me to watch him perform live at restaurants, and he even surprised me by wishing me a happy birthday in front of everyone during one of his gigs. He creates such a fun and relaxed environment where learning feels exciting, and even the funny conversations between songs make every lesson memorable.

I HIGHLY recommend Ernesto to anyone interested in learning guitar, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced player looking to improve. He is patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly cares about his students.
