I have been in education for 29 years with experience in regular and special education classes. My main focus has been in phonics and reading comprehension. My students have proven success by showing and maintaining growth on standardized testing. I have also served as a mentor teacher to student teachers from 3 universities.

I believe that a strong phonological/phonics based foundation is needed to build strong reading skills. I like to build confidence in reading by practicing these skills in reading material that is on the student's level while building a student's comprehension.
