About OMAR
I began my professional career at the age of 15, when I signed an international endorsement with Yamaha Drums, developed my own signature model of drumsticks with Vic Firth, and appeared regularly in the press, landing the cover of “ Batteur magazine “. At 18, I secured a publishing deal with Universal Music France, with whom I collaborated as a composer for ambitious projects there, such as Popstars (TV Show), Rai'n'B Fever, Diam's, Amine, Kelly Rowland... I also toured the world with major artists such as Keziah Jones, Matthieu Chedid, Cheb Khaled, Damon Albarn and Fatoumata Diawara... In 2012, I caught the attention of Superproducer RedOne (Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson...), signed a publishing/artist deal with his record label 2101 records and moved to England to collaborate on albums with Jennifer Lopez, X Factor winner Shayne Ward, Bluey Robinson... In 2019, I was part of the Netflix show ‘ The Eddy ‘ directed by Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash) as a songwriter and also appeared as an actor in several episodes.

My name is Omar and I've been a professional drummer since 2000. I hold several conservatory degrees in drums, piano, classical composition and jazz, including a ' Premier prix à l'unanimité ' from the drum school ' Dante Agostini ' and a ' Médaille d'or ' from the conservatoire of Paris. I've played and toured in more than 40 countries with Damon Albarn, Keziah Jones, Cheb Khaled, Shayne Ward, Nguyen Le, Fatoumata Diawara ... I've taught in many master classes in Japan, France, Belgium, Mexico... I'm offering drum lessons in my private music studio in Chiswick (1 min walk from Gunnersbury Station). I do also play piano, bass / guitar so I can play along with you during the lessons. I'm passionate about music and I share this passion with my students through my enthusiasm! My lessons are tailored around your aspirations. I don't follow one particular method, but I always make sure I give you the best tools in order to express your musicality, creativity and ultimately enjoy playing music! I can teach in many styles, rock, soul, jazz pop.... All levels, all ages 30 min (£30), 60 min (£48), I teach in my own studio in Chiswick.

Perfect! Omar is an excellent teacher. His pluri instrumental background brings an interesting depth to his teaching. You can tell he is a passionate musician who knows how to tailor his teaching methodology to students' objectives. Also a very good option to experience playing along with other instruments early in your learning process.

Omar is an excellent drummer and an amazing teacher. I got classes with him and my play improved a lot. I liked so much to take lessons with him, I used to spend very good times in learning and, at same time, having fun. If I was living in London, I would take again classes with him. Omar is one of the nicest, friendliest and most professional instructors you will meet. You can tell how much he lives and breathes performing, teaching and learning by the fun and energy he brings to every lesson. Whether it's helping an individual to aim high and reach their goals or bringing a room full of musicians together to perform, his energy and efficiency is unmatched. ..... and he's also an all round, really lovely guy! My daughter has LOVED performing in his classes and on stage!
Omar has been teaching my daughters for over a year now. He is dedicated and passionate and very talented! He has a way of instilling confidence in those he teaches which when kids are going through those awkward teenage years is invaluable! We highly recommend him!
